2010 is here

Happy New year! Now we get to remember to write 2010. I think I need to practice 2010, 2010, 2010,2010, 2010..... OK so that is enough!.

I realized we never got the Christmas pictures up so here goes. Christmas was so very different with being snowed in Christmas as Eve. Jonathan and Nathan made it over before it got too bad so we had a quiet evening. We watched a Christmas movie that was on TV. It was Its a Wonderful Life. It was a quiet evening, yes even with the boys here!

Christmas morning was still snow covered, cold, and icy! Christmas morning worship was canceled. The storm had kept Karen and Steve from getting to Mom's house, so she decided not to get out Christmas morning . We went ahead and opened gifts even though Ryan and Amanda were not here. Shawna got a hand held game. a sheet set, a shirt and a stuffed Rhino. Nathan got a electric guitar with a soft case. Jonathan got a game and a small set of nut crackers for the tree. Daddy got a beautiful basket with hand done decorations!!!! He also got a shirt and tie and some Cd's. I got a beautiful wood carving of a mother and two children! I also got a scarf and some perfume.

We had a fun morning and then started getting ready to go to Moms. I made mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. I had taken most of the gifts over to her house earlier so we did not have as much to load up as usual! We had planned a late lunch (2pm) so that worked out good. The Jacksons did not make it till after 5. the highways were still pretty bad! We had a wonderful lunch! and as usual leftovers later.
We took Ryan and Amand's gifts with us so we gave shared gifts at Nana's house. They also opened the exchange gifts there. I have pictures and will post on another post. I realized I shold put pictures up before I type to have better controll of where photos go!
We miss you both and Katie and Dave and Amy and Drew!
I loved your Christmas day post!
We pray God will keep you safe and strong as you begin this new year and as you finish your work there.
Love lots, Mom
